Microsoft Responsibilities / Contributions - Brett Ostrum is Corporate Vice President, responsible for Surface. Prior to this, Brett led Surface Hardware Development and Program Management after being one of the founding members of the Surface business at Microsoft.

Brett joined Microsoft in 1997 and spent the first 13 years at Microsoft in the PC Hardware business. During that time, he progressed through several roles and was the General Manager responsible for end to end, worldwide business of PC Hardware, Mouse, Keyboards, and Webcams including Product Development & Marketing.

Pre-Microsoft Work Experience – Prior to joining Microsoft, Brett worked at Fluke Manufacturing in several Engineering roles associated with the Digital Multi-Meter business group. The roles included development and test associated with custom silicon development.

Education - Brett graduated with Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Washington in 1993.

Family/Other Interests – Brett is married and loves spending time with his kids and playing golf.
