Get the event website shortcut for Android
Microsoft has created a mobile web experience that caches website pages and features, enabling offline access on any device. To improve the in-person event experience, it is recommended that attendees install an app-like shortcut and pin it to your home screen for quick and easy access.
Shortcuts to websites are specific to browsers. If you have registered for the event with managed credentials, typically a work account, that only allows authentication with a certain web browser on your device, you should use that web browser to create the shortcut to the event website.
To pin a shortcut to an Android home screen, navigate to the event website from a web browser that you are able to sign in with and follow the instructions below for your device. Language and order may vary slightly by device and web browser.
Using Chrome:
1. Open the menu (three dots in the top right).
2. Select “Install app” from the menu.
3. Choose “Install” to confirm.
Using Edge:
1. Open the menu (three dots centered on the bottom).
2. Scroll to find and select “Add to phone” from the menu.
3. Select “Install” to confirm.
The mobile web experience is now pinned to your home screen and can be opened by tapping the Microsoft event icon.
